Helicopter Industry Association presented National Pavilion of Russia at China Helicopter Exposition
10 – 13, October, Tianjin (China) hosted the largest expo in helicopter industry in the region — China Helicopter Exposition. It is one and only specialized international expo of state-level which already became the second largest helicopter expo worldwide. In four days, the event was visited by over 60 000 people. 400 companies from 22 countries have participated. In total, agreements on purchase of 141 helicopters for more than 10 billion yuan were signed.
Russia and China have long and fruitful cooperation in the helicopter industry and this year the range of China Helicopter Exposition has been enhanced by the National Pavilion of Russia presented by Helicopter Industry Association (HIA) — unique Russian professional association.
Helicopter Industry Association showcased the latest products and services of member’s companies. In particular, a significant emphasis was made on three domestic enterprises — Russian Helicopter Systems, Abakan Air and STAND. Beta Air and Russian Helicopters, both also HIA members were presented at their respectable stands.
At China Helicopter Exposition, Russian Helicopters held negotiations with Chinese partners on new promising projects of Mi-171A2 and Ansat helicopters. An agreement was signed with Sino-Russian Helicopter Group to supply the first two Ansat in rescue configuration helicopters to the PRC.
Due to the large number of Mi-8/17, Mi-26T and Ka-32 helicopters operating in China, interest of Chinese companies was focused on the NASKD-200 testing suite by Beta Air for helicopters MRO. Negotiations involved a large number of Chinese companies — potential customers of this equipment. They highly appreciated the versatility and technological efficiency of Beta Air’s products.
Russian Helicopter Systems is the first in Russia and the largest civil operator for commercial Ansat helicopters. Company’s fleet consists of 14 helicopters of this type, including 12 MEDEVAC and 2 Ansat in VIP configuration. The company also has 5 Mi-8AMT/MTV helicopters equipped with modern medical equipment.
Abakan Air performs federal and international freight charter orders and provides other services including complex aviation work and unique logistics solutions. In particular, Abakan Air is the official provider of aviation services to the United Nations and the World Food Programme.
STAND is the largest Russian supplier of modern lubricants for the operation of both Russian and international-made helicopters. The company supplies aviation oils, lubricants and hydraulic liquids of international and Russian products being the official distributor for market-leading manufacturers of aviation oils. The company also employs experts involved in the development of promising lubricants for Russian-made helicopters
An important part of the Russian-Chinese partnership in the field of helicopter aviation is cooperation in exhibition events. The largest in Europe annual International Helicopter Industry Exhibition HeliRussia is held with support and on initiative of Helicopter Industry Association. HIA presented HeliRussia 2020, which will be held on 21-23 May 2020 in Moscow. In 2019 HeliRussia set another record — 234 companies took part in it, 49 of them foreign, from 20 countries. HIA and the organizers of HeliRussia are working systematically to increase the presence of Chinese companies at the event.
The nearest HIA event is the XII Helicopter Forum, held in Tyumen on November 7-8, 2019.
