Belykh Leonid Yakovlevich
Leonid Yakovlevich Belykh was born in 1950 in the village of Bichura, Republic of Buryatia. After graduating from the Ulan-Ude Aviation College in 1969, he came to work at an aircraft plant as an assembler-electrician. He worked as a foreman, shop manager, deputy chief engineer.
In 1982 he graduated from the Academy of Civil Aviation in Leningrad, in 1990 — the Higher School of the All-Union Central Council of Trade Unions, candidate of economic sciences.
Since 1996 L.Ya. Belykh — Deputy General Director for Marketing and Sales. Marketing activity has been intensified in the markets of many foreign countries in Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and Latin America. Its results were approved by the Board of Directors, and in 1998 L.Ya. Belykh was appointed General Director of OJSC Ulan-Ude Aviation Plant.
During the years of the formation of the Russian economy, the Ulan-Ude Aviation Plant under the leadership of L.Ya. Belykh managed to preserve his enormous potential, firmly earned a reputation as a steadily operating and developing enterprise, and took a worthy place among the machine-building enterprises of the country and the world. The plant is one of the most famous brands in Buryatia, the flagship of its economy.
The future of the enterprise is associated with the development of the Russian Helicopters helicopter holding, within the framework of which U-UAZ organized serial production of the Mi-171A2 helicopter, the Ka-226T light helicopter is being put into production, and the production of a light aircraft is planned.
As General, and since 2009 — Managing Director (after the plant entered the Russian Helicopters holding and the transfer of the rights of the sole executive body to Russian Helicopters) Leonid Yakovlevich pays much effort and attention to loading the plant, expanding the model range, and high-quality implementation of the production program.
Belykh L. Ya. — Deputy of the People’s Khural of the Republic of Buryatia, Chairman of the Regional Union of Machine Builders of the Russian Federation, President of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of the Republic of Buryatia.
For the highly effective, conscientious work of L.Ya. Belykh was repeatedly awarded with Government awards of the Russian Federation, awards and honorary titles of the Republic of Buryatia and industry ministries. Honored Worker of Industry of the Republic of Buryatia, Honorary Citizen of the city of Ulan-Ude. In 2020, Leonid Yakovlevich Belykh was awarded the title of Hero of Labor of the Russian Federation.
